As professional school counselors we work hard to implement a comprehensive guidance and counseling program. Our developmental program addresses the academic, career, and personal/social needs of our students, to create a positive and safe learning climate at Maplecrest Elementary. At the same time, we also assist students as they face issues and resolve problems to encourage healthy development. One of the ways in which we will do this is through weekly guidance lessons which will include character development. The lessons are designed to help develop the skills children need to get along with others and to make appropriate choices.
